Delauder's BBQ

Delauder's BBQ

Smoked every morning. Sold out by supper.

From a Gatlinburg gas station to Travel + Leisure's Top 25 BBQ in America. Now on Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville.

Ten years, on the record

From a hard-to-find gas station to the national lists, without ever growing past a handful of tables.

No frills and hard to find, about four miles from downtown on East Parkway: counter ordering, country music, red-and-white checkered tablecloths.

Yelp names it one of the Top 100 Places to Eat in America

Yelp rankings climbed as high as #10 BBQ restaurant in the country, and #7 for brisket.

Landlord issues end a decade in Gatlinburg

The old location closed at the end of September. That fall, Delauder’s soft-opened at 1305 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville: a bigger kitchen, a fresh start, about four tables inside.

Still family-owned, still smoked fresh every morning, still closing when the day’s barbecue sells out.

When it's gone, it's gone

Every piece of barbecue is smoked fresh each morning, and the doors close when the day's meat sells out. Denny refuses to serve barbecue that wasn't cooked that day.

The philosophy hasn't changed since the gas station: feed people like you are family. The potato salad still comes from Denny's grandmother's recipe.

“We put love into everything we make.”
