It feels like a house because it was one.

Trish's cooks out of a converted cabin home on US-321, the East Parkway, about nine miles east of downtown Gatlinburg. The front room still looks the part: a living room, set with dining tables.

“Walking into someone’s dwelling, unlike any other place I’ve eaten in Gatlinburg.”

It runs like a family place too. Regulars call out the servers by name, Liz and Shirley, and recent reviews keep landing on the same two words: southern charm.

Breakfast and lunch through the week. On Friday and Saturday nights the kitchen stays on for ribeye dinners, catfish, and beef tips. Closed Sundays.

The house signature, and the reason to show up when the door opens at 7. A local critic rated breakfast here 5 out of 5 and called the biscuit possibly “my favorite in all of Gatlinburg.”

As for the gravy: “sublime.”
